Do you remember the tv show "Three's Company"? Joyce DeWitt played "Janet" on the show. She sent a recipe for the cookbook and we received it just HOURS after taking the book to the printer. So....we're posting it here!
JOYCE DeWITT's
"SOUP" -ER- BURGERS
Brown 1 lb of ground beef (or ground turkey) in finely diced onion and salt and pepper.
While browning, mix 1/3 cup of ketchup with 1 tsp to 1 tbsp of yellow mustard (add amount to taste).
When meat/turkey is browned, add one can of Vegetarian Vegetable Campbell's Soup (NO water) and mix well with meat.
Stir in ketchup/mustard mix to the meat little by little until you've reached a taste you like that is balanced and delightful.
Serve on hamburger buns with salad or fries -- just like a sloppy joe.
This recipe is from her childhhod :)
She sent a lovely letter. She said Peru is "one of my favorite places on earth and I have a great love and respect for the people."
